"Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch faces misdemeanor weapons charges for allegedly carrying a loaded concealed weapon in his car.

The charges, announced today by the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, stem from a Jan. 11 incident when Culver City police allegedly found a 9-millimeter semiautomatic weapon in a backpack in the trunk of Lynch's 2006 Mercedes-Benz. Lynch, 22, has been released on $35,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned April 2."

Oh, Marshawn... when you graced Memorial stadium and ghost rode that injury cart, everyone loved you. You've got to stop breaking hearts (and laws) by pulling stuff like this.

"Marshawn Lynch face three misdemeanor charges resulting from his arrest in Culver City, California last week.

Said lawyer M. Gerald Schwartzbach: "I’m not pleased that Marshawn was charged ... but if he was going to be charged I’m pleased it’s a misdemeanor." Lynch did well to escape felony charges, but he's not out of the woods on gun possession. Though this decreases the chances of prison time, he's still facing a probable NFL suspension."
